TX716 Large Absorbond HPLC Sampling Swab (MOL 5.020")

 

Swabbing is a preferred method to determine the effectiveness of cleaning protocols as determined by the US FDA. HPLC/UV-Vis and IMS analysis are different methods used to validate these cleaning processes.

The Large Absorbond® Sampling Swab is manufactured with 100% hydroentangled polyester nonwoven fabric which contains no contaminating surfactants. The absence of these surfactants makes these swabs the ideal tool for use in Cleaning Validation of equipment used in the manufacture of APIs, excipients, drugs, and biotech products. The nonwoven polyester head provides excellent recovery rates by entrapping samples in the swab structure without adhering to the sample, allowing complete release into the diluent. This swab is most effective with solvents other than water.

The TX716 swab has a rigid polypropylene handle that provides firm support for sampling broad areas and flat surfaces. The break-away feature of the handle allows the swab head to be placed into a sampling vial with minimal handling.
