Ways Cleanrooms Have Evolved

Posted by SOS Cleanroom on 16th Mar 2017

Science has helped a variety of fields evolve, but science is the field that continues to push boundaries, make changes and develop. Cleanrooms were one of the ways that science was pushed, providing a controlled space where more work can be done and experiments can be completed so that improvements can be made. The work that went into the development of cleanrooms is entirely noticeable simply by the garments that employees wear when stepping into the space and all of the procedures that need to be completed in order for this space to work.

At SOS cleanrooms, we have provided high-quality cleanroom supplies to a variety of facilities for years, but with time we have to continue to evolve our products so that they can uphold the standards of cleanrooms and the barriers that they are created to be, as well as the cleaning products that can manage to maintain a sterile and controlled space. Over that time, we have seen aspects of cleanrooms evolve because of technology to create incredible spaces with the ability to create incredible projects. Here are some of the developments that cleanrooms have seen over the last couple of years.

Going Wireless

The internet and ability to go wireless is something that we see in various places of our life. It’s not hard to remember what a pain dial up was, or even just having cords connecting everything. In a space where the ability to control settings is a must, the last thing that you want is to have to rely on various cords or electrical circuits to make it happen. Aside from that, these are also added factors of maintenance that you have to worry about. With the implementation of internet and wireless technology into cleanrooms, the ability to manage various things within a cleanroom has become much easier.

With wireless technology, sensors are used in most cleanrooms so that analysis and research can be collected without having to do much maintenance or work to receive this information. Aside from that, this quick speed technology allows for different forms of equipment to run more efficiently and more reliably.

Biohazard Apparel

With the changes in standards, the people developing gowns, frocks and other forms of gowning needed to find a way to provide the matching level for a cleanroom. That being said, another one of the big changes that we’ve seen is in regard to garments. SOS Cleanroom has found ways to create gowning and garments that meet the standards of cleanrooms and can provide a safe barrier for employees. One of the primary advancements that happened is the biohazard suit, that had a large budget backing it as it was going to be one of the biggest advancements in protective gear. Biohazard suits are found in a variety of professions and can provide an increased value of protection to people that need that level of protection from chemicals or bodily fluids. You’ll see that these are the types of suits most think of immediately, but they weren’t always the most common suit. The standards were not always at this level.
