Your Guide to Cleanroom Wipes

7th Oct 2015

At SOS Cleanroom, we are proud to offer a huge selection of cleanroom wipes.

Our goal is to meet all of your cleanroom needs, and in order to do so, we have created a large selection of high quality cleanroom wipes, we even offer your favorite brands, like Texwipe! Although it's always good to have lots of options available, too many options can make finding the right wipes confusing and frustrating. Wiping is an incredibly effective method for controlling contamination on hard surfaces, but you have to know which wipes will work best for you. That's why our experts have come up with the following guide on cleanroom wipes:

#1. Wet or Dry?

For most applications, a wet wipe is usually the better option. That is because particles attach themselves more effectively to a wet surface. Even if you have dry wipes, if you wet them before you use them, they will be more effective.

#2. Cleanliness

Every kind of wipe available will contain at least some contaminants, but some wipes are "cleaner" than others. For example, synthetic wipes that are laundered and have a sealed edge are generally the cleanest available option. However, they do have their downsides: they tend to be more expensive than natural fiber wipes and they are less absorbent.

#3. Weight

Weight will often have an effect on the cost of your wipes, as well as their ability to absorb.
