Foam Cleanroom Swabs

Fiber-free polyurethane swabs for high-precision solvent cleaning.

Foam cleanroom swabs are built for cleaning tasks that demand zero fiber shedding, strong solvent control, and pinpoint access. The swab heads are made from open-cell reticulated polyurethane foam (typically 100 PPI), giving a soft, non-abrasive, fiber-free surface that absorbs liquids quickly and releases them evenly for controlled cleaning. Because the foam has high surface area and excellent solvent capacity, these swabs are ideal for removing residues without scratching sensitive parts.

Leading cleanroom foam swab lines (including Texwipe CleanFoam®) use complete thermal-bond construction—no adhesives—so there’s no glue contamination risk, and they’re cleanroom processed and packaged to maintain low nonvolatile residues (NVR) and ionic contaminants. Foam swabs are commonly used for precision cleaning of recessed areas and intersecting surfaces, applying/removing IPA and other cleanroom solvents, removing fluxes or low-viscosity adhesives, and general detail cleaning in semiconductor, microelectronics, pharma, medical device, optics, and laboratory environments.
