This category centers on sponge-and-stick systems and hydrated sponges that simplify sampling: a biocide-free 1.5" x 3" cellulose sponge mounted on a handle to reach into tight spaces without touching the sponge, typically supplied pre-hydrated and packaged with an integrated sample bag for secure transport to the lab. Pre-moistened options use the right diluent for the job—such as Neutralizing Buffer or Letheen / D/E neutralizing broths—to help neutralize residual sanitizers so organisms remain detectable and results are meaningful.
