Texwipe’s pre-wetted 100% methanol swabs are specialty, single-use tools for precision cleaning where methanol is the validated solvent. Each foil pouch contains two Absorbond® nonwoven polyester swabs pre-saturated with 0.5 mL of 100% reagent-grade methanol, giving consistent wet-out and eliminating open solvent bottles at the workstation. Methanol is commonly chosen for final cleaning of optical and photonic components—including lenses, mirrors, filters, and coated parts—because it cuts light oils and films, evaporates fast, and leaves minimal residue when fresh and high purity. It’s also used for precision wipe-downs of small electronic or analytical components where a low-residue, fast-dry solvent is required.

The double-layer hydroentangled polyester head is soft and non-abrasive for scratch-sensitive surfaces, making these swabs ideal for tight-feature cleaning and controlled solvent application in cleanrooms and labs.
