Transport system swabs are needed whenever a sample must be collected in a controlled area and then moved to a lab without drying out, contaminating, or losing traceability. They’re commonly used for environmental monitoring in cleanrooms (surface swabbing of equipment, benches, doors, isolators, and pass-throughs), personnel or glove sampling, and microbiological investigations where results depend on preserving organism viability during transit.

Texwipe’s Sterile Dry Collection and Transport System provide a complete sterile swab-and-tube unit for this workflow. Each system includes a long, flexible swab (about 155 mm / 6.1 in.) for hard-to-reach sampling sites, plus a medical-grade LDPE tube and molded cap that secures the handle and protects the specimen from collection through delivery. Swab tips are available in USP-grade spun cotton or USP-grade spun polyester, letting you match the substrate to your protocol and cleanliness level.
