Sealed-border sterile cleanroom wipers are designed for environments where you must control both particles and microbes. The perimeter is thermally, laser, or ultrasonically sealed to lock in filaments and prevent fraying, which significantly reduces edge-generated fibers compared with cut-edge wipes. That low-lint, low-particle performance is why sealed-border sterile wipers are commonly specified for ISO Class 3–5 cleanrooms, sterile suites, isolators, and aseptic processing areas.

These wipers are supplied validated sterile, most often via Cobalt-60 gamma irradiation to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶—the industry benchmark for aseptic pharmaceutical and medical-device operations. Leading sterile sealed-border families are typically 100% continuous-filament polyester knit, chosen for ultra-low particles, low ions, low nonvolatile residue (NVR/extractables), strong abrasion resistance, and excellent solvent compatibility. Many are also tested for endotoxins for life-science critical cleaning.

To protect sterility through transfer, sealed-border sterile wipers are packaged double- or triple-bagged in solvent-safe cleanroom packaging, allowing outer-bag wipe-down before introducing the inner bag into ISO 5 / Grade A-B areas. Lot traceability (irradiation certificates, compliance docs, and expiration dating) supports validated SOPs and audit readiness.
