Glove Sizing Guide

Finding the correct glove size helps improve comfort, dexterity, protection, and overall performance. This guide provides a general sizing reference that may be used across many disposable, cleanroom, industrial, chemical-resistant, and exam-style gloves.

How to Measure for Glove Size

Glove sizing is commonly based on the measurement across the palm at the widest point. To get the best fit, measure your dominant hand with your fingers together.

  1. Place your right hand palm down with your fingers together.
  2. Align the left edge of your index finger with the sizing line, without crossing over it.
  3. Keep the thumb crotch aligned with the guide area.
  4. Use the measurement across the widest part of your palm to determine your glove size.
Sizing Tip:

If your hand falls between two sizes, choose the smaller size for a snug fit or the larger size for easier donning and more room.

Disposable Gloves

Nitrile, latex, and vinyl disposable gloves often rely on stretch for fit. A snug fit is usually preferred when tactile sensitivity and dexterity are important.

Cleanroom Gloves

Cleanroom gloves should fit securely without excess material at the fingertips. Proper sizing helps reduce hand fatigue and supports controlled handling.

Industrial Gloves

Coated, cut-resistant, chemical-resistant, and supported gloves may fit differently due to liner thickness, coating style, and glove construction.

Why Proper Glove Fit Matters

Gloves that are too small may cause discomfort, tearing, reduced circulation, or hand fatigue. Gloves that are too large may reduce grip, create excess fingertip material, and make precision handling more difficult.

For best results, always compare your hand measurement to the manufacturer’s specific sizing chart when available.
