Micronova MicroSeal™ Cleanroom Gowning Tape (CSLB) — Perforated Polyethylene Cuff Sealer Tape for Glove-to-Sleeve Sealing (White, 18 Yards)
Cleanroom Gowning Polyethylene Film Clean-Peel Acrylic Adhesive Perforated Every 3" 18 Yards / Roll No Liner (Less Waste)

Overview

MicroSeal™ Gowning Tape is a conformable polyethylene cuff sealer tape engineered to help create a reliable seal between cleanroom gloves and garment sleeves. The tape is perforated at 3-inch intervals so operators can tear consistent lengths quickly during gowning, reducing bulk and minimizing over-wrap.

The low-outgassing polyethylene film and clean-peel acrylic adhesive are designed to remove cleanly from most garments without leaving residue—supporting consistent gowning discipline and reduced variability in critical workflows.

Why cuff sealing matters
  • Protects the glove-to-sleeve interface: helps reduce exposed gaps and sleeve ride-up during repetitive motion.
  • Supports contamination-control consistency: standardized tear lengths improve repeatability across operators and shifts.
  • Clean removal: clean-peel adhesive is intended to remove without leaving adhesive residue on garments.
  • Less waste: wound on a 3" plastic core with no liner, reducing packaging and gowning-room trash volume.

Typical applications
  • Cleanroom gowning: glove-to-garment cuff sealing
  • Aseptic gowning programs (when your SOP requires cuff sealing)
  • Wheel taping and equipment binding in controlled environments
  • General sealing / labeling / batching tasks using compatible polyethylene tape formats

Gowning Discipline Glove-to-Sleeve Interface Particulate Control Aseptic Readiness

Why the glove-to-sleeve seam is a high-risk zone

In real-world cleanroom work, the most common contamination events are not dramatic—they are incremental. A sleeve rides up. A cuff rolls. A glove edge catches. Over time, small gaps at the glove-to-garment interface increase the chance of skin flakes, fibers, and operator-borne contamination migrating into the work zone. This is why many gowning SOPs treat the wrist as a critical boundary.

MicroSeal™ Tape: designed for repeatable cuff sealing

Micronova MicroSeal™ Gowning Tape (CSLB) is a conformable white polyethylene tape wound on a 3-inch plastic core, with perforations every 3 inches so operators can tear consistent lengths without scissors. The roll is 18 yards and is commonly used to seal approximately 42 glove-to-sleeve interfaces.

Why “no liner” matters: MicroSeal is wound with no liner, which reduces packaging waste and reduces the handling steps during gowning (fewer materials to manage in the gowning room).

How to use cuff sealer tape (practical workflow)
  1. Don gloves per SOP: confirm glove cuff overlap with the sleeve and avoid touching the exterior of garments with bare skin.
  2. Tear a consistent strip: use the 3-inch perforations to tear an appropriate length without stretching the film.
  3. Wrap with controlled tension: seal the interface without “tourniquet-tight” wrapping (over-tightening can restrict motion and promote roll-down).
  4. Press to set: apply firm, even pressure around the seam to seat the acrylic adhesive uniformly.
  5. Change when your SOP says change: if the tape lifts, wrinkles, gets wet, or becomes contaminated, remove and replace using controlled technique.

Note: MicroSeal is not autoclavable. If your process requires sterile presentation, ask SOSCleanroom about the gamma-irradiated custom order option.

Why sourcing from SOSCleanroom helps your program
  • Program standardization: one approved cuff sealing tape (with defined widths and case packs) simplifies SOP training and audit explanations.
  • Lot traceability support: MicroSeal packaging includes part and lot identification—useful for deviation investigations and controlled substitutions.
  • Auto-Ship readiness: keep gowning consumables predictable so teams do not “stretch” inventory and compromise technique.
  • One-cart contamination control: pair tape, gloves, sleeves, wipes, and facility tapes in one procurement flow.
