64261 HLX is a quartz tungsten-halogen capsule: a tungsten filament is operated at high temperature inside a quartz envelope containing halogen chemistry. In properly designed fixtures, the halogen regenerative cycle helps reduce envelope darkening and supports more consistent light output over the rated life.

Many capsule lamps share the same G6.35 base and similar envelope size, but differ in wattage, filament geometry, and optical behavior.
