In these HLX lamps, xenon replaces the krypton fill gas typically used in halogen bulbs. Xenon helps reduce tungsten vaporization and supports a higher filament temperature, which can improve luminous efficacy or extend service life, depending on the application. The ANSI code for this model is EVA, and it is commonly available through microscope dealers worldwide.
