SOS Return Policy
Who it applies to: Merchandise purchased directly from SOS may be returned under the terms below.
Timeframes & Fees
- Within 30 days of purchase: Return for a refund or credit; a 20% restocking fee may apply. Customer is responsible for return shipping.
- After 30 days: Returns are not accepted unless covered under the defective or damaged policies below.
Exclusions: Non-stock or special-order items may not qualify. Custom made-to-order and hazardous items are not returnable.
How to Start a Return (RMA Required)
- Before sending anything back, obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number: contact us or call 1-800-443-7101.
- Products must be returned in their original packaging to be eligible for refund/credit. Cleanroom products must be unopened to qualify for a refund. This includes inner and outer bag packaging.
- Deliveries refused without SOS consent are subject to a 30% restocking fee (plus applicable shipping charges).
Order Discrepancies (Type or Quantity)
- Report any discrepancies within 10 days of purchase to avoid a restocking fee, and within 30 days to be eligible for a refund or credit.
- If SOS made the error, SOS covers return shipping.
Return Policy for Products Damaged During Shipping
The risk of loss for any products transfers to the customer once the order leaves SOS’s facility. If your shipment arrives damaged:
- Contact SOS within 7 days for an RMA (call 1-800-443-7101 or contact us).
- SOS will cover return shipping and ship a replacement as soon as possible.
- No restocking fee applies to returns processed under this policy.
Return Policy for Defective Products
- Defective items are handled under the manufacturer’s warranty and the terms below.
- Notify SOS within the manufacturer’s stated warranty period to obtain an RMA.
- Return shipping for verified defects is covered by SOS.
- SOS will arrange a replacement or issue a refund/credit consistent with the manufacturer’s documented findings (a manufacturer evaluation may be required prior to issuance).
- Original packaging is not required for defective returns.
- No restocking fee applies to verified defective returns.
Warranty Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
Buyer acknowledges that SOS is not the manufacturer of the goods sold. All implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no event shall SOS be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, arising from any order.
By accepting delivery, Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold SOS harmless from and against all claims, liabilities, losses, actions, costs, penalties, fines, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising out of or related to the use, handling, or resale of the products.
