Low TOC Alpha® swabs are engineered for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) cleaning validation, where background contribution from the swab must be extremely low to protect detection limits. They’re made from the cleanest 100% polyester double-knit Alpha® fabric, then further processed to a certified TOC background below 50 μg/L (50 ppb) to reduce false positives and improve method sensitivity.

The swab head uses a double-layer, double-knit polyester construction that entraps residues during sampling while enabling high recovery and efficient release into your diluent. Each swab is precision-manufactured with no adhesives (thermal-bonded) to eliminate glue interference, and features a notched 100% polypropylene break-away handle for low-handling transfer into vials and excellent chemical resistance.

Available in two formats—TX714K (standard handle) and TX761K (long handle)—Low TOC Alpha® swabs support regulated TOC protocols across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and API manufacturing.
