Ansell is the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial hand protection. The HyFlex® platform is Ansell’s flagship glove family for precision handling—engineered to deliver dependable protection, grip, and durability where productivity and safety intersect.

Product overview

HyFlex® 11-541 is designed for industrial applications where moderate cut hazards are present alongside abrasive handling. The glove combines a Kevlar®-reinforced liner for cut resistance with a foam nitrile palm coating engineered to provide reliable grip and extended wear life.

Why customers choose 11-541: It offers trusted Kevlar® cut resistance combined with Ansell’s FORTIX™ Abrasion Resistance Technology, delivering a balance of protection, dexterity, and durability that outperforms commodity cut gloves in real-world industrial use.

Within the HyFlex® family, 11-541 targets cut and abrasion hazards where heavier cut gloves reduce dexterity. For higher cut levels, consider advanced HyFlex cut-resistant models.

Cut Resistance Kevlar® Liner Foam Nitrile Grip HyFlex® Platform

Designed for environments where sharp edges are a constant, not an exception

The Ansell HyFlex® 11-541 is built for industrial environments where workers routinely handle sharp materials and abrasive components throughout the day. These are not occasional cut hazards — they are continuous exposure conditions where glove construction, fiber selection, and coating performance must work together to manage risk without compromising dexterity or endurance.

Kevlar® liner construction: inherent cut resistance by design

At the core of the 11-541 is a Kevlar®-based liner. Kevlar is an aramid fiber engineered for exceptional tensile strength and resistance to cutting forces. Unlike surface-applied cut treatments, Kevlar provides inherent protection woven directly into the glove’s structure.

From a materials standpoint, Kevlar fibers resist blade penetration by dispersing force along the yarn rather than allowing localized failure. This makes the glove well suited for handling stamped metal, glass edges, and sharp components where repeated contact occurs at varying angles.

Foam nitrile coating: grip and abrasion resistance under real conditions

The palm and fingers are protected with a foam nitrile coating engineered to deliver grip while resisting surface wear. Foam nitrile’s micro-porous structure increases surface contact, allowing oils and residues to migrate into the coating rather than reducing friction at the glove-to-part interface.

Nitrile also provides excellent resistance to abrasion and tearing, reinforcing the Kevlar liner in high-contact zones such as fingertips and the palm. This combination allows the glove to maintain protection and grip across extended use cycles.

How the 11-541 manages cut and wear risks
  • Cut resistance: Kevlar liner disperses cutting forces across high-strength fibers.
  • Abrasion protection: foam nitrile shields the liner in high-wear contact zones.
  • Grip control: micro-porous coating maintains friction on dry and lightly oily surfaces.
  • Dexterity: balanced liner and coating thickness preserve finger mobility and control.

Typical industrial applications

The HyFlex® 11-541 is commonly used in metal fabrication, stamping operations, appliance manufacturing, glass handling, and general industrial assembly where sharp edges are present throughout the workflow. It is particularly effective where gloves must balance protection with day-long wearability.

Wear indicators and replacement timing

Over time, wear typically appears as thinning or smoothing of the foam nitrile coating at fingertips and palm areas. Because cut protection is inherent to the Kevlar liner, loss of coating grip is often the first visible indicator that gloves should be replaced to maintain safe handling conditions.
