Ansell HyFlex 11-840 Nitrile Foam Coated Gloves

The Ansell HyFlex® 11-840 is designed for industrial environments where gloves are worn continuously and expected to perform across thousands of handling cycles. These are not single-task applications; they are production floors, logistics operations, and assembly lines where grip reliability, durability, and hand comfort directly affect productivity and fatigue.

The liner of the 11-840 is engineered to provide structural support without stiffness. Rather than focusing on high cut resistance, the liner prioritizes flexibility and fit, allowing the glove to move naturally with the hand during repetitive tasks.

This close-fitting profile reduces internal friction and pressure points, which helps minimize hand fatigue over long shifts. For workers who keep gloves on for hours at a time, liner comfort becomes a core safety and productivity factor.

The palm and fingers are coated with foam nitrile, a material selected for its ability to maintain grip across dry, lightly oily, and variable surface conditions. Unlike smooth coatings, foam nitrile incorporates micro-pores that increase surface contact and allow oils to be displaced rather than trapped at the glove-to-part interface.

From a durability perspective, nitrile resists abrasion and tearing far better than many soft elastomers. This makes the 11-840 well suited for environments where gloves are expected to last through extended use rather than frequent change-outs.

• Grip consistency: foam nitrile maintains friction even as surfaces become contaminated.
• Abrasion resistance: coating protects high-wear zones such as fingertips and palm.
• Dexterity: balanced coating thickness preserves finger mobility and control.
• Breathability: uncoated back of hand allows heat and moisture to escape during long wear periods.

The HyFlex® 11-840 is commonly used in general assembly, packaging, logistics, warehousing, materials handling, and equipment support tasks. It is particularly effective where workers transition between different surfaces and need a glove that adapts without constant adjustment or replacement.

Over time, foam nitrile coatings may show smoothing, thinning, or reduced grip in high-contact areas. These changes occur gradually and serve as visible indicators that gloves are approaching the end of their useful life. Routine inspection supports consistent hand protection while controlling glove consumption.
