ITW Texwipe CleanStep AMA1836 — 18" x 36" Adhesive Sticky Mats (240 Sheets) with Antimicrobial Protection + Numbered Tabs (Foot & Cart Traffic Particulate Control for Cleanrooms and Critical Areas)
Cleanroom Contamination Control ISO-First Entry Control 18" x 36" 240 Sheets Total Antimicrobial Agent Numbered Peel-Off Tabs

Overview

Texwipe CleanStep AMA1836 is a best-in-class adhesive sticky mat system designed to capture and retain foot-borne and wheel-borne particulates at critical transitions (gowning areas, cleanroom entrances, material transfer points, and controlled corridors). Each removable adhesive-coated polyethylene sheet traps particles to help prevent transfer into process areas.

CleanStep mats include an antimicrobial agent to help prevent bacterial growth on the mat surface and numbered tabs to simplify inventory control and sheet replacement. Frames are sold separately.

Why sticky mats matter (ISO-first, Annex 1 aware)
  • Entry points are the highest-risk vector: shoes, cart wheels, and pallet jacks move particles directly toward critical operations.
  • Controlled removal: peel-off layers give you a fresh adhesive surface without downtime, supporting consistent housekeeping.
  • Operational discipline: numbered tabs make it easier to train teams and audit replacement practices.
  • Annex 1 alignment (when applicable): defined entry controls and documented cleaning behaviors support a stronger contamination control strategy.

What’s included (published)
  • Available Quantity Option: Case
  • Layer Count options: 30 layer mat or 60 layer mat
  • Case Unit (published): 30 layer mat = 8 mats per case

ISO-First Entry Control Foot & Cart Particle Reduction Housekeeping Discipline Numbered Layer Control ITW Texwipe CleanStep

Sticky mats are an “entry control,” not a floor accessory

In most facilities, the highest concentration of uncontrolled particles arrives on the bottom of shoes and on cart wheels. Once those particles cross into a controlled area, they become harder to manage because they are continuously redistributed by traffic. Adhesive mats exist to interrupt that transfer pathway at the boundary.

From an ISO-first contamination control perspective, a sticky mat supports a simple principle: keep contamination in the less-critical zone by removing it before it migrates. In Annex 1-type environments, the same logic applies—entry controls and well-defined housekeeping behaviors support a stronger, more defensible contamination control strategy.

Placement matters more than brand claims
  • Put the mat where traffic must pass: gowning exits, material pass-throughs, cleanroom entrances, and corridor pinch points.
  • Size for behavior: if carts routinely bypass the mat, increase coverage or relocate the mat to the true traffic path.
  • Pair with a policy: define “stop + step” behavior for personnel and “slow-roll” behavior for carts to improve capture.
  • Keep it flat and stable: where frames are used, they support consistent mat presentation and reduce shifting.

Why CleanStep’s numbered tabs matter in real operations

The most common failure mode for sticky mats is not adhesive performance—it is human behavior. Teams wait too long to change a layer, or they change layers inconsistently across shifts. CleanStep’s numbered tabs are a practical control that supports: training consistency, auditability, and inventory discipline.

If you want sticky mats to contribute meaningfully to contamination control, treat layer change-outs as part of the housekeeping SOP: define the change trigger (visual loading, scheduled interval, cart traffic threshold, or shift change), and document it like any other control.
