TX1036 AlphaSat 6" x 6" 100% Polyester Cleanroom Wiper Pre-Wetted 70% IPA

TX1036 AlphaSat is a ready-to-use, low-linting (no wiper is truly ‘zero-lint’ in every process condition) pre-wetted polyester knit wiper used for critical cleaning, spill control, and solution application in controlled environments. It is constructed from 100% continuous-filament polyester in a double-knit, no-run interlock pattern with a laundered cut edge for durability during wipe-downs on equipment, fixtures, and rougher surfaces, while maintaining low particle and fiber contribution (process-dependent).

Best-seller note: TX1036 is widely specified when teams want consistent wetting (70% IPA) and repeatable wipe-down performance without on-bench squirt bottles or point-of-use saturation variability.

About the Manufacturer:

Texwipe (an ITW company) differentiates itself in cleanroom wiping by treating the wiper as an engineered product, not a commodity consumable. In AlphaSat® with AlphaWipe®, that shows up in knit fabric selection (continuous-filament polyester), controlled laundering/packaging, and lot-to-lot traceability intended to support repeatable wipe-down outcomes and qualification-ready documentation for regulated and audit-driven environments.

Texwipe also publishes typical performance and contamination baselines (absorbency, particles/fibers, ions, and nonvolatile residue) for this family to support evaluation and standardization. SOSCleanroom (SOS) supports that manufacturing discipline with a close working relationship with Texwipe focused on continuity of supply, clean documentation handoff (certs, lot traceability), and practical application support—so customers can standardize wiping materials with predictable performance while maintaining procurement reliability and audit readiness.

TX1036 Features:

100% polyester fiber — continuous-filament, double-knit
Cleanroom laundered and packaged
Solvent-safe packaging
Lot-to-lot traceability

TX1036 Benefits:

Ultra-low particles and extractables (typical): Designed to support contamination control during wipe-downs (process-dependent)
Continuous-filament fiber: Helps reduce shedding vs. staple-fiber constructions
Durability on surfaces: Double-knit no-run interlock helps resist snagging and abrasion with rigorous use or rougher surfaces
Chemical resistance: Polyester knit construction is commonly used with IPA and many other cleanroom-compatible solvents/cleaners (verify compatibility to your chemistry and SOP)

Common Applications:

General wiping of benches, carts, tools, equipment exteriors, and fixtures
Spill control and pickup of process fluids
Cleaning and polishing stainless steel
Large surface areas where consistent wetting improves repeatability
Protective covering for parts and product during staging, transfer, or temporary storage

Best-Practice Use:

Fold for control: Fold into quarters to create multiple clean faces; rotate faces instead of re-wiping with a loaded surface.
Wipe pattern: Use straight-line strokes (top-to-bottom or left-to-right) to avoid re-depositing contamination.
Wet vs. dry: Use as supplied; avoid leaving the bag open so the wipe stays consistently wetted for repeatable wipe-downs.
Change-out triggers: Replace the wiper when the face becomes visibly soiled, tacky, or leaves streaks/residue.
Bag discipline: Reseal promptly between pulls to reduce evaporation and help maintain consistent wetting.

Selection Notes (TX1036 vs. Other Options)

TX1036 vs. TX1034: Same AlphaSat family and 70% IPA pre-wet; choose TX1034 (4" x 4") for tight work areas and small parts; choose TX1036 (6" x 6") when you want more wiping face without moving to a 9" x 9".
TX1036 vs. TX1039: Same AlphaSat family and 70% IPA pre-wet; choose TX1039 (9" x 9") when coverage per wipe matters on larger panels and benches.
Pre-wetted vs. dry (TX1004/TX1009/TX1009B): Choose pre-wetted for repeatable solvent delivery and reduced handling; choose dry when your SOP requires custom chemistry, controlled dwell, or process-specific wetting.

ISO 14644 Operations Control AlphaSat® Pre-Wetted 70% IPA / 30% DIW Polyester 6" x 6" Format Resealable Pack Lot Traceability

Texwipe TX1036 AlphaSat® 6" x 6" (pre-wetted 70% IPA): compact, repeatable wipe-down control for benches, tools, and touch points

Texwipe TX1036 AlphaSat® is a polyester cleanroom wiper in a 6" x 6" format, pre-wetted with 70% isopropyl alcohol / 30% deionized water and packaged to support controlled dispensing. This format is commonly chosen for quick, consistent wipe-downs where a full 9" x 9" wipe is unnecessary and where operators benefit from predictable solvent loading at the point of use—reducing variation from manual wetting, squirt bottles, or on-the-fly dilution.

Operations takeaway: TX1036 is a process-control tool when the pack is handled correctly—open, dispense, and reseal immediately. If the pack is left open, top wipes dry out and wetness consistency drifts.

ISO-first context: pre-wetted wipes reduce two major sources of variability

ISO 14644-5:2025 frames cleanroom performance around a documented Operations Control Programme (OCP). In cleaning, two variables drive a disproportionate amount of drift: (1) solvent concentration and (2) solvent loading. Pre-wetted wipes help stabilize both, supporting more repeatable wipe-down outcomes and reducing excess wetting, pooling, and operator-to-operator differences. The control benefit is only realized when the method also defines wipe direction, overlap, discard triggers, and waste handling.

Control point: Treat reseal discipline as a measurable behavior. Packs left open are a common root cause of "streaking" and inconsistent performance.

What TX1036 is designed to do (typical use cases)

Quick wipe-downs where controlled 70% IPA wet-out supports method consistency
Targeted cleaning of tools, handles, touch points, and small surfaces (6" x 6" efficient format)
Work surface wipe-downs when the SOP specifies a pre-wetted IPA method
Reducing squirt-bottle handling and eliminating on-the-fly dilution/mixing at the bench
Standardized "reset" cleaning between tasks or batches (when allowed by the process)

Process-control note: Many programs adopt compact pre-wetted wipes like TX1036 to reduce over-wetting and improve repeatability on small wipe steps.

Best-practice use (reduce streaks, pooling, and redeposit)

Control introduction: wipe down the outer pack (as required by your OCP) before bringing it into the controlled area.
Open/dispense/reseal: open only as needed; dispense; reseal promptly to maintain wetness consistency.
Fold for control: create multiple clean faces; treat each face as single-pass to reduce smear/redeposit.
Straight-line strokes: parallel, overlapping passes; avoid circular scrubbing that redistributes contamination.
Change-out triggers: replace when the face is soiled, streaking occurs, or the wipe feels under-wetted for the step.
Compatibility check: verify IPA suitability for your specific surface finish, polymers, adhesives, and residue constraints.

Streaking diagnostic tip: If performance changes across the shift, audit pack reseal behavior and shorten "pack-open time." Evaporation is the most common cause of drift.

Misuse controls & when not to use TX1036

If sterility is required: do not substitute a non-sterile pre-wetted wipe for sterile workflows. Use sterile presentation when required by your SOP.
If tighter residue limits are gating: validate residue/spotting outcomes; excessive wetting and slow evaporation can create finish defects.
If the process is validation-sensitive: do not replace protocol-defined sampling tools with cleaning wipes; keep cleaning and verification tools separated.
If the pack will be staged open: uncontrolled evaporation defeats the control benefit—train and audit reseal discipline.

Recommended cleanroom glove pairing (ISO-aligned)

For ISO-controlled wiping applications, pair this pre-wetted wipe with a cleanroom-processed, low-particle nitrile glove to reduce contamination transfer during handling and wipe-downs.

Ansell Nitrilite® 93-311 Cleanroom Nitrile Gloves — ISO Class 5 (Class 100), cleanroom processed and packaged

Why this matters: Pre-wetted wipes reduce mixing variability, but glove contact can still transfer contamination. Cleanroom-grade gloves help keep wipe-down outcomes repeatable.

Glove discipline: Change gloves when contaminated, solvent-wet, torn, or after contacting non-controlled surfaces. Treat gloves as part of the wipe system.
