Texwipe TX1067 TechniSat® 7" x 11" Cellulose/Polyester Cleanroom Wipers - Pre-Wetted 70% IPA / 30% DIW - 800 Wipers/Case

Texwipe TX1067 TechniSat® is a non-sterile, pre-wetted cleanroom wiper manufactured from a hydroentangled nonwoven blend of 55% cellulose and 45% polyester. Designed for routine cleaning in controlled environments, TX1067 combines the liquid sorption characteristics of cellulose with the added mechanical strength of polyester to support consistent wiping of compatible work surfaces, manufacturing equipment, tools, fixtures, and production accessories.

Each nominal 7" x 11" wiper features a cut-edge construction and is factory pre-wetted with 70% USP-grade isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and 30% deionized water (DIW). The manufacturer-prepared wetting solution is filtered to 0.2 µm. This ready-to-use formulation reduces the need for manual alcohol dilution, separate spray bottles, and uncontrolled wetting of dry wipes at the point of use.

The TechniCloth® nonwoven material combines absorbency, strength, and softness for general cleanroom wiping. Its hydroentangled cellulose/polyester construction is designed to provide low levels of particles and extractables while maintaining sufficient durability for compatible routine cleaning operations. The blended substrate helps collect light surface soils, handling residues, lubricants, and processing aids when used with an approved cleaning procedure.

TX1067's 7" x 11" dimensions provide a practical balance between surface coverage and handling. Compared with smaller wipes, the extended length supports efficient wiping of benches, equipment exteriors, carts, and workstations. The 7" width also makes the material convenient to fold and control around compatible equipment features, fixtures, and intermediate-sized work areas.

Texwipe identifies TX1067 for ISO Classes 5 through 8 and EU GMP Grades B through D. The product is supplied non-sterile and must be evaluated against facility-specific cleanliness, contamination-control, chemical-compatibility, and wiping requirements before use in a qualified manufacturing process.

TX1067 is packaged in reclosable slider bags containing 200 pre-wetted wipers each. One manufacturer case contains 4 slider bags, totaling 800 individual wipers. SOSCleanroom offers TX1067 by the complete manufacturer case. The reclosable bag helps reduce IPA evaporation and protect unused wipes during normal dispensing when properly closed after use.

Ready-to-Use Cleaning Advantage: TX1067 combines a 55% cellulose / 45% polyester nonwoven substrate, factory-prepared USP-grade 70% IPA / 30% DIW, and a convenient 7" x 11" format. Its 200-count reclosable slider bags provide consistent point-of-use wiping without requiring operators to prepare separate alcohol solutions or manually wet dry wipes.

Cellulose/Polyester Material Construction:

TX1067 uses a hydroentangled nonwoven substrate consisting of 55% cellulose and 45% polyester. The blend is designed to combine useful liquid sorption with the durability of a synthetic component, supporting general wiping and compatible residue collection.

  • 55% Cellulose: Contributes absorbency and liquid pickup capability.
  • 45% Polyester: Adds fabric strength and durability during ordinary wiping.
  • Hydroentangled Nonwoven: Mechanically entangled fibers form the wiping material.
  • Cut-Edge Construction: Suitable for general wiping but does not offer sealed-border fiber containment.
  • Soft Surface Contact: Supports wiping compatible equipment and environmental surfaces.
  • Liquid Sorption: The blended substrate is useful for collecting compatible liquids and light soils.
  • Particle and Extractables Control: Manufactured to provide low contamination contribution for its intended general-cleaning applications.
  • Fiber Considerations: Cellulose-blend materials may not meet the most stringent fiber limits required for some highly critical processes.
  • Surface Suitability: Evaluate the substrate and solvent chemistry against the intended surface and residue.
  • Critical Wiping: Consider a qualified sealed-border polyester alternative when the process requires tighter particle and fiber control.

Material Selection Guidance: TX1067 is an absorbent cellulose/polyester cut-edge wiper. It is intended for general controlled-environment cleaning and should not automatically be substituted for sealed-border polyester or other specialized wipers in processes with exceptionally stringent particle, fiber, or residue acceptance limits.

70% USP-Grade IPA / 30% DIW Wetting Chemistry:

TX1067 is factory pre-wetted with USP-grade 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% deionized water. Texwipe identifies the wetting solution as filtered to 0.2 µm and designed to provide repeatable wetness and solvent characteristics under appropriate handling conditions.

  • 70% IPA: Supports removal of compatible processing soils, lubricants, and light residues.
  • 30% DIW: Provides the water component of the formulated cleaning solution.
  • USP-Grade Alcohol: Explicitly identified by Texwipe for TX1067.
  • 0.2 µm Filtration: Used in preparation of the wetting solution.
  • Factory Pre-Wetting: Helps standardize chemistry and avoid operator-to-operator dilution differences.
  • Consistent Wetness: Designed to help maintain repeatable solvent application during approved use.
  • Reduced Free-Liquid Handling: Limits separate solvent pouring or spraying.
  • Quantitative Solvent Loading: The reviewed TDS does not provide an exact mL-per-wipe value for TX1067.
  • IPA Evaporation: Improperly closed bags and prolonged exposure can reduce wetness.
  • Surface Compatibility: Evaluate coatings, plastics, adhesives, labels, and sensitive materials before wiping.
  • Non-Sterile Supply: Filtering the wetting solution does not make the finished wiper sterile.
  • Disinfection: The nominal 70% IPA concentration does not independently establish product-specific registered disinfectant efficacy or validated contact times.
  • Sporicidal Activity: A separately qualified sporicidal product is required when specified.

Chemistry Guidance: Texwipe confirms TX1067 uses USP-grade 70% IPA / 30% DIW filtered to 0.2 µm. The product is non-sterile, and the reviewed manufacturer TDS does not establish a fixed solvent-loading volume per wipe. Always follow the facility's approved chemistry, cleaning, and disinfection requirements.

Best-Practice Wiping Procedure:

TX1067 supports repeatable cleaning when operators follow an approved procedure defining wipe handling, contact pressure, wiping direction, surface coverage, and replacement frequency. Proper use also helps minimize contamination transfer between cleaned and uncleaned areas.

  1. Verify Product Suitability: Confirm that TX1067 is approved for the cleaning surface, ISO classification, and procedure.
  2. Inspect the Bag: Verify the correct part number, lot identification, expiration date, and package integrity.
  3. Prepare the Work Area: Follow the approved cleaning sequence and required contamination-control procedures.
  4. Use Appropriate Gloves: Wear the required cleanroom gloves and task-specific protective equipment.
  5. Open the Slider Bag: Open only as far as needed to remove the appropriate number of wipes.
  6. Dispense Carefully: Avoid touching the remaining unused wipers with contaminated gloves or equipment.
  7. Reseal Immediately: Close the slider to help preserve the remaining solution and protect the bag contents.
  8. Fold the Wiper: Create manageable wiping faces when the approved procedure permits.
  9. Apply Controlled Strokes: Wipe in straight, overlapping passes according to the specified cleaning direction.
  10. Maintain Consistent Pressure: Avoid unnecessary scrubbing or aggressive abrasion.
  11. Rotate Wiping Faces: Use a clean portion of the wipe to reduce redeposition of collected contamination.
  12. Replace When Necessary: Discard wipes that become soiled, damaged, dry, or unsuitable for continued cleaning.
  13. Do Not Reuse: Never return a used wipe to the original bag.
  14. Complete Cleaning Records: Document material lot information and cleaning activity as required.

Wiping Guidance: Factory-prepared pre-wetted wipes reduce solvent preparation steps, but effective surface cleaning still depends on approved wiping direction, coverage, wipe-change practices, and proper package handling. Replace used wipes before contamination is redistributed.

Reclosable Slider-Bag Handling and Evaporation Control:

The TX1067 reclosable slider bag helps reduce evaporation of the IPA/DIW cleaning solution. Proper storage and dispensing are important for preserving wetness across the life of an opened package.

  • Open Only When Needed: Limit unnecessary exposure of unused wipes.
  • Close the Slider Completely: Check the full length of the closure after dispensing.
  • Protect the Bag Opening: Avoid contaminated gloves, tools, surfaces, and splashes.
  • Limit Heat Exposure: Do not place open or closed packs near excessive heat or ignition sources.
  • Inspect Wipe Wetness: Discard inadequately wetted material when a consistent pre-wet condition is required.
  • Do Not Add Solvent Without Approval: Adding liquid can alter the original manufacturer-prepared condition.
  • Observe In-Use Limits: Follow facility requirements for opened-bag handling and replacement.
  • Preserve Lot Identification: Keep the packaging label available when material traceability is required.
  • Store Appropriately: Follow the current manufacturer SDS and applicable flammable-material storage requirements.

Packaging Guidance: Reclosable slider bags help preserve pre-wetted condition but do not prevent all solvent loss after opening. Prompt closure, appropriate storage, and approved open-package limits are necessary for consistent use.

Texwipe TX1067 TechniSat®: 7" × 11" pre-wetted cellulose/polyester wipers for controlled 70% IPA cleaning

Texwipe TX1067 TechniSat® Pre-Wetted Cleanroom Wipers are nonsterile, disposable cleaning wipers manufactured from a 55% cellulose / 45% polyester nonwoven blend with cut edges. The material is designed for general cleaning and contamination-control applications requiring suitable absorbency, mechanical strength, and controlled solvent delivery.

Each wiper measures 7" × 11" (18 × 28 cm) and is pre-wetted with a 0.2 µm-filtered solution of USP-grade 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and 30% deionized water (DIW). This prepared formulation helps reduce variations associated with mixing alcohol, dispensing from bottles, and manually saturating dry wipers.

The TechniSat® substrate combines the sorptive characteristics of cellulose with the strength of polyester. Its narrower format can be useful for controlled wiping of equipment exteriors, benches, carts, tools, fixtures, and accessible workspaces where a wider sheet would be less convenient.

Texwipe identifies TX1067 for ISO Classes 5–8 and EU GMP Grades B–D, subject to the facility's approved contamination-control and material-qualification requirements. TX1067 is explicitly supplied nonsterile.

The product is packaged in reclosable slider bags containing 200 wipers each. A full manufacturer case includes four bags, totaling 800 wipers. SOSCleanroom currently lists TX1067 as a case-quantity purchasing item.

Operations takeaway: TX1067 combines absorbent cellulose/polyester construction, a 7" × 11" wiping format, standardized 70% IPA chemistry, and reclosable high-count packaging. Reliable cleaning requires proper wipe folding, contamination-aware strokes, sufficient wetness, surface compatibility, and consistent package handling.

ISO-first context: cleaning as part of an operational contamination-control program

ISO 14644-5 addresses cleanroom operations through documented controls involving personnel, equipment, cleaning, maintenance, materials, and contamination management.

Wiping materials are an important part of these controls because they contact equipment, workstations, tools, and surfaces within classified areas. Their substrate construction, cleanliness, fluid content, packaging, and handling practices may affect the amount of contamination removed or unintentionally introduced.

Pre-wetted wipes help standardize the initial cleaning chemistry and reduce operator-dependent variation associated with preparing alcohol solutions. They can also limit the need to introduce separate solvent bottles into the work area.

TX1067 is manufacturer-designated for ISO Classes 5–8 and EU GMP Grades B–D. Its use within a particular classified area must still comply with the facility's cleaning procedures, material-transfer requirements, and contamination-control strategy.

Control point: Manufacturer cleanroom suitability is not the same as certification of a specific wiping procedure. The facility must determine whether TX1067 meets its requirements for particle contribution, extractables, sterile status, solvent compatibility, and cleaning performance.

  • General cleaning: Designed to support removal of appropriate liquids, lubricants, residues, and soils.
  • Liquid pickup: Useful where wiping must both deliver solvent and collect loosened contamination.
  • Material release: Particle and fiber performance should be evaluated against the applicable process limits.
  • Single-use application: Replace used wipes according to the approved procedure.

Construction distinction: TX1067 is not a 100% polyester or polypropylene wiper. The cellulose/polyester blend has different sorption, particle, fiber, and extractables characteristics from all-synthetic wiping materials.

Cellulose blend benefits and limits for critical contamination control
  • Absorbency: Cellulose can help collect appropriate liquid residues during general cleaning.
  • Wet strength: Polyester supports handling durability.
  • Particle sensitivity: More stringent operations may require a lower-shedding substrate.
  • Fiber requirements: Evaluate the allowed fibers for the final equipment or product surface.
  • Nonvolatile residues: Consider extractables where solvent-evaporated residue could affect the process.
  • Ionic contamination: May be important for sensitive electronics or corrosion-sensitive assemblies.
  • Abrasive features: Rough equipment surfaces can increase material wear.
  • Critical final-pass cleaning: A separately qualified knitted polyester or sealed-border wiper may be preferable.
  • Process qualification: Evaluate actual surface cleanliness after wiping rather than relying solely on material descriptions.

Selection principle: TX1067 is designed for general contamination-controlled cleaning. Where ultra-low particles, fibers, NVR, or ionic contribution are necessary, compare manufacturer test data and determine whether another qualified wipe is appropriate.

70% USP-grade IPA / 30% DIW: exact pre-wet formulation
  • Alcohol: 70% isopropyl alcohol.
  • Alcohol grade: USP-grade, specifically identified for TX1067 by Texwipe.
  • Water component: 30% deionized water.
  • Solution filtration: 0.2 µm.
  • Factory preparation: Provides the specified solution without routine on-site mixing.
  • Cleaning function: Can assist in removing compatible processing residues and soils.
  • Controlled dispensing: Reduces the need for pouring or spraying free liquid.
  • Evaporation: Alcohol can evaporate after dispensing and during extended package exposure.
  • Material compatibility: Evaluate plastic, coated, painted, adhesive, and elastomeric surfaces before use.
  • Process consistency: Maintain the approved wiping and package-handling methods.

Chemistry distinction: TX1067 uses USP-grade 70% IPA / 30% DIW. Other TechniSat® models may contain 6% IPA or may use differently specified IPA grades. Verify the exact manufacturer part number before substitution.

Solution filtration versus finished-product sterility
  • Specified filtration: 0.2 µm for the pre-wetting solution.
  • Finished-product sterility: TX1067 is nonsterile.
  • Gamma irradiation: No gamma-irradiated sterile claim applies to standard TX1067.
  • Sterility Assurance Level: No SAL claim is established for TX1067.
  • Microbial requirements: Determine whether nonsterile wiping materials are permitted in the specific operation.
  • Material transfer: Follow procedures appropriate for nonsterile supplies.
  • Critical aseptic applications: Select sterile material where the approved contamination-control strategy requires it.

Sterility limitation: Filtering the wetting solution to 0.2 µm does not make the finished wipe sterile. Sterile TechniSat® alternatives are separate manufacturer products with different part numbers and appropriate sterile-processing documentation.

Pre-wet loading and VOC consistency: what is verified

Texwipe describes TechniSat® pre-wetted wipers as providing repeatable wetness and volatile organic compound (VOC) levels through factory-controlled preparation.

  • Prepared wetting solution: 70% IPA / 30% DIW.
  • Measured wetting process: Helps minimize variation associated with manual saturation.
  • Repeatable wetness: Supports more standardized general wiping.
  • VOC considerations: Pre-wetted packaging can reduce uncontrolled free-liquid application.
  • Exact liquid loading: No individual mL-per-wipe specification is published in the reviewed manufacturer TDS.
  • Loading tolerance: No numerical lot-release tolerance was verified for TX1067.
  • Sorptive capacity: Describes substrate absorption performance, not the actual liquid included in each wipe.
  • Open-package evaporation: Repeated exposure can reduce wetness.
  • Surface coverage: Determine the area a wipe can clean under the approved SOP.
  • Replacement: Use a fresh wipe when insufficient wetness or contamination compromises the task.

Loading limitation: Manufacturer statements such as repeatable wetness do not establish a specific mL-per-wipe quantity, guaranteed saturation percentage, or validated disinfection contact time. Obtain additional manufacturer documentation if numerical loading is a critical process input.

Typical TechniCloth® cleanliness and physical performance data

Texwipe's TechniCloth® Technical Data Sheet US-TDS-003 Rev. 4/23 reports typical material analyses relevant to the substrate used for TX1067.

  • Basis weight: 69 g/m²
  • Sorptive capacity: 360 mL/m²
  • Sorptive rate: Less than 0.3 seconds
  • Particles ≥0.5 µm: 72 × 106 particles/m²
  • Fibers greater than 100 µm: 55,000 fibers/m²
  • NVR with IPA extractant: 0.01 g/m²
  • NVR with DIW extractant: 0.03 g/m²
  • NVR with ethanol extractant: 0.01 g/m²
  • Sodium: 12 ppm
  • Potassium: 1 ppm
  • Chloride: 10 ppm
  • Particle and fiber methods: Manufacturer-cited IEST/ASTM references and Texwipe TM22
  • NVR test: Texwipe TM1
  • Ionic test: Texwipe TM18
  • Absorbency test: Texwipe TM20

Technical-data interpretation: These results are typical TechniCloth® substrate analyses, not guaranteed lot-specific maximum limits for pre-wetted TX1067. They should be used for qualification and material comparisons in conjunction with the applicable test methods.

Particles, fibers, extractables, and residue-sensitive applications
  • Particles: May originate from the wiping material or from collected environmental contamination.
  • Fibers: Can affect sensitive components and final surface cleanliness.
  • Nonvolatile residue: May remain after solvent evaporation.
  • IPA-extracted NVR: Characterizes residue under a defined alcohol extraction method.
  • DIW-extracted NVR: Measures a different category of extractable residue.
  • Ion contamination: Can be relevant to corrosion-sensitive or high-reliability applications.
  • Wiping pressure: Excessive force may increase abrasion and release.
  • Contaminated wipes: Must be replaced before residue is redistributed.
  • Critical final cleaning: May require a different qualified substrate or a finishing step.

Contamination-control principle: Low-linting and low-extractables descriptions do not mean zero shedding or zero residue. Compare actual test data and cleaning outcomes with the facility's established acceptance criteria.

Reclosable slider bag: controlled dispensing and solvent preservation
  1. Confirm product identity: Verify TX1067 and the correct lot information.
  2. Inspect the bag: Look for tears, leaks, damaged seals, or unusual dryness.
  3. Follow material-entry procedures: Treat exterior packaging according to the approved cleanroom SOP.
  4. Open the slider: Expose only the dispensing area needed.
  5. Remove the required wipe: Avoid touching the unused contents.
  6. Close promptly: Reseal to limit alcohol evaporation.
  7. Keep the closure clean: Avoid contaminating the slider or bag opening.
  8. Evaluate wetness: Confirm that the wipe is suitable for the intended task.
  9. Prevent uncontrolled refilling: Do not add solvent unless an approved procedure specifically authorizes it.
  10. Monitor open-pack use: Follow facility-defined in-use and disposal requirements.
  11. Dispose of compromised material: Apply the approved product-disposition procedure.

Packaging limitation: Reclosable slider bags help limit evaporation, but do not establish indefinite in-use shelf life or guarantee unchanged wetness throughout extended exposure. Use appropriate opening and resealing discipline.

Best-practice 70% IPA cleanroom wiping procedure
  1. Review the approved SOP: Confirm TX1067 is permitted for the surface and process.
  2. Inspect the material: Verify that the wipe is adequately wetted and undamaged.
  3. Check compatibility: Confirm that both 70% IPA and the cellulose/polyester substrate are appropriate.
  4. Fold according to the method: Prepare clean wiping faces.
  5. Start at the designated location: Follow the prescribed high-to-low or clean-to-dirty sequence.
  6. Apply controlled linear strokes: Use the specified overlap and direction.
  7. Maintain appropriate pressure: Avoid unnecessary abrasion or liquid squeezing.
  8. Change wiping faces: Reduce redistribution of collected contamination.
  9. Replace loaded wipes: Use new material when the wipe is visibly dirty or no longer suitable.
  10. Maintain wetness: Use additional wipes when required by the process.
  11. Observe any wet-contact requirements: Apply the appropriate validated disinfection procedure where applicable.
  12. Protect adjacent components: Avoid introducing solvent into unsuitable openings or interfaces.
  13. Dispose correctly: Follow the designated alcohol-wipe disposal process.
  14. Reseal the package: Protect remaining wipes.
  15. Record cleaning: Complete the required equipment or area documentation.

Method standardization: Define wipe folding, contact pressure, stroke direction, overlap, maximum usable surface area, change-out criteria, and any required contact time. Factory pre-wetting improves consistency but does not replace qualified operator technique.

Avoiding solvent pooling and contamination transfer
  • Seams and joints: Prevent excessive liquid from collecting beneath equipment interfaces.
  • Enclosed components: Confirm that wet wiping is permitted before contact.
  • Electrical interfaces: Follow equipment cleaning and isolation requirements.
  • Dirty wipe faces: Rotate or replace rather than dragging contamination to a clean area.
  • Multiple surfaces: Use the facility's approved wipe allocation for each area.
  • Over-wetting: Avoid adding additional solvent without a qualified method.
  • Streaking: Evaluate residue loading, wipe material, surface chemistry, and finishing needs.
  • Drying: Allow the appropriate drying or follow-up process required by the equipment SOP.

Process limitation: Pre-wetted wipes reduce the need for direct liquid application, but they do not eliminate the possibility of solvent migration or pooling. Qualification should account for equipment geometry and nearby sensitive components.

Cleaning versus disinfection: understanding the 70% IPA claim
  • Cleaning: Physical wiping helps remove appropriate soils and residues.
  • 70% IPA: Describes the supplied wetting chemistry.
  • Disinfection: Requires applicable product authorization or a qualified facility procedure.
  • Wet-contact time: Must be established for the intended microbial-control objective.
  • Evaporation: Can shorten the period during which the surface remains visibly wet.
  • Sporicidal requirements: Do not assume 70% IPA replaces the required sporicidal treatment.
  • Significant soil: May require cleaning before applying a disinfectant.
  • Compounding applications: Follow the appropriate USP <797>, USP <800>, and facility requirements.
  • Finished-product sterility: TX1067 is nonsterile.

Disinfection limitation: 70% IPA does not automatically mean sterile, sporicidal, or universally validated for a specified disinfection contact time. Cleaning and microbial-control claims require the appropriate evidence and approved procedure.

Surface compatibility: IPA and cellulose/polyester wiping
  • Stainless steel: Often compatible with IPA cleaning when permitted by the equipment procedure.
  • Glass: Evaluate streaking, haze, and any final-residue requirements.
  • Plastics: Verify compatibility with repeated alcohol exposure.
  • Acrylic: Assess the potential for crazing or surface damage.
  • Coatings: Confirm compatibility of functional and protective finishes.
  • Elastomers: Evaluate seals and gaskets for chemical resistance.
  • Adhesives and labels: Assess lifting, smearing, or loss of adhesion.
  • Electronic equipment: Follow manufacturer cleaning restrictions and applicable electrical safety procedures.
  • Precision surfaces: Consider substrate release and any required finishing wipe.
  • Product-contact equipment: Follow validated cleaning requirements where applicable.

Compatibility principle: The equipment surface must tolerate both the IPA formulation and the mechanical interaction of the blended wiping substrate. Solvent compatibility alone does not establish complete wiping-system suitability.

TX1067 versus TX1065: 7" × 11" versus 9" × 11" TechniSat®
  • TX1067 dimensions: 7" × 11".
  • TX1065 dimensions: 9" × 11".

  • Critical selection: Compare actual test data, edge construction, size, sterility, and surface interaction.
  • Substitution: Apply appropriate change control when the wiping material is qualified within a regulated process.

Material selection: Similar IPA concentration does not mean identical performance. The wiping substrate can affect absorbency, particle shedding, fibers, nonvolatile residues, and suitability for sensitive surfaces.

Nonsterile TX1067 versus sterile TechniSat® configurations
  • TX1067: Nonsterile 7" × 11" TechniSat®.
  • TX3214: Sterile 9" × 11" TechniSat®.
  • TX3217: Sterile 9" × 11" TechniSat® with a different flexpack quantity.
  • Sterile process: The designated sterile variants are gamma irradiated.
  • Sterile assurance: Texwipe publishes SAL 10-6 for the specified sterile models.
  • TX1067 sterility: No finished-product sterile or SAL claim.
  • Material transfer: Follow the facility's approved sterile or nonsterile material-entry procedure.
  • Substitution: Do not use TX1067 where sterile presentation is mandatory.

Sterility principle: The manufacturer's 0.2 µm filtration and cleanroom designation do not establish sterility. Use a separately identified sterile product when the process requires gamma-irradiated wiping supplies.
