practical selection guidance. A glove can be comfortable,
silicone-free, and dermatologically assessed without being
a high-cut glove, chemical barrier, or cleanroom-qualified
product.

ANSI and EN classifications are separate systems. EN mechanical
results apply to the tested palm construction and do not
establish identical protection at the cuff or uncoated back.
No impact-protection P is included in the 3121A marking.
Cut-selection checkpoint:
An A1 classification is not justification for handling every
sharp component. Determine whether the actual edge, force,
and movement require a higher cut rating before approving
the glove.

Evaluate component grip, fit, and screen operation at the actual
workstation. Do not assign a universal wear-life percentage,
oil-repellency claim, or coating-thickness value that is not
stated in the model-specific documents.
Compliance, skin assessment, and cleanliness claims
The reviewed EU declaration identifies
Category II, EN 388:2016+A1:2018,
and EN ISO 21420:2020 for products manufactured
from February 17, 2022. It also contains earlier declarations;
use the documentation applicable to the supplied gloves.

Important distinction:
These attributes do not establish allergy-free performance,
sterility, or a cleanroom particle-release specification.
Silicone-free does not mean free of every possible residue.
Qualify the glove separately for sensitive surfaces and
controlled-environment work.
Antistatic properties and touchscreen compatibility are separate
Ansell lists Antistatic: Yes. However, the
reviewed model-specific data sheet and EU declaration do not
establish EN 16350 certification or a numerical electrical
resistance value for the 11-818.
For electronics ESD programs or potentially explosive atmospheres,
request the specific manufacturer evidence required by the site.
Neither touchscreen compatibility nor the antistatic entry
establishes electrical insulation or automatic approval
for those environments.
Dry food handling and food-contact qualification
Ansell lists dry food handling and packaging among the
applications and provides a model-specific food declaration.
That declaration references European food-contact requirements
and 21 CFR 177.2600 for rubber articles intended for repeated use.
It also contains food-simulant migration data and test conditions.
Food-use limitation:
A food-contact symbol is not unrestricted approval for every
food, temperature, or contact duration. Do not extend the
dry-food application to aqueous, acidic, alcoholic, or fatty
food contact without confirmation for the intended conditions.
Keep food-handling gloves separate from industrial use.

Interpreting the manufacturer's application list
The supplied description and Ansell's product literature include
component adjustment, mounting, dismantling, final assembly,
logistics, locksmith work, dry food handling, and touchscreen use.
They also include furnace opening and pump, valve, line-draining,
and BTX/cracker process references.
Those process labels should not be read as protection ratings.
The reviewed 11-818 declaration establishes mechanical
protection, not thermal or chemical protection.
Site-selection guidance:
Identify the actual exposure before choosing PPE. Hot
equipment, residual pressure, hazardous process fluids,
live electrical systems, and moving machinery require
controls beyond the 11-818's documented handling profile.
Do not use this glove to justify working through those hazards.
Sizing and fit verification
Sizes 6 through 11 are listed for this model.
Check the fingertip position, comfortable finger flexion,
palm fit, and cuff security in a sample glove before
standardizing a size.

hand-placement instructions. The general chart includes
size 12, but that does not establish size-12 availability
for the 11-818.
Inspection, three-cycle washing guidance, and storage
Ansell lists three washing cycles at 40°C.
Its general instructions explain that the laundering assessment
concerns unused gloves under the prescribed test conditions.
That is not a guarantee that worn or contaminated gloves
retain their original protection after washing.
- Inspect the coated palm, fingertips, liner, and cuff before use.
- Follow package care markings and the permitted laundering cycles.
- Reassess used gloves after cleaning; do not treat washing as a reset of service life.
- Keep the interior clean and replace gloves with damaged or unsuitable contact surfaces.
- Store in original packaging, dry and at room temperature, away from sunlight and ozone sources.
Inspection limitation:
A visual check can reveal damage but cannot quantify remaining
cut resistance. Follow site replacement and contaminated-waste
procedures.

attributes, not a glove recycled-content percentage or a
guarantee that every received carton uses the latest packaging
revision. The factsheet cites earlier reporting periods;
obtain current supporting certificates when required for
procurement or environmental reporting.

Technical FAQs
Is HyFlex 11-818 a high-cut-protection glove?
No. It has an A1 / EN ISO A cut classification and is
positioned for ultralight, multi-purpose handling.
Does FORTIX™ mean the glove is oil-repellent?
FORTIX™ is identified as abrasion-resistance technology.
It does not independently establish oil repellency or
chemical-barrier performance for the 11-818.
Is the glove touchscreen compatible?
Yes. Ansell specifically lists consumer and industrial
touchscreen compatibility. Confirm performance on the
actual device used.
Does the manufacturer's washing process make it a cleanroom glove?
No cleanroom qualification is established by the reviewed
washing-process claim. Particle release, extractables,
packaging, and sterility require separate evidence.
How many pairs are included?
The SOSCleanroom configuration is 144 pairs of the selected
size. Manufacturer pack counts are 12 pairs per bag and
