Knit Microfiber 5" x 16" Integrated Absorbent Pad Pocket Attachment 9% IPA / 91% DI Water Non-Sterile 50 Covers/Case

Teknipure TekniMop™ TM-MFPK9G-516P: large-surface microfiber cleaning with an integrated absorbent pad and 9% IPA presaturation

The Teknipure TekniMop™ TM-MFPK9G-516P is a 5" x 16" non-sterile microfiber knit pocket mop cover with an integrated absorbent pad, presaturated with 9% IPA / 91% DI water. It provides a ready-to-use cleaning interface for floors, walls, ceilings, and other broad controlled-environment surfaces. [1, 2]

Operations takeaway: Specify this cover when the approved cleaning step calls for microfiber pickup, integrated liquid capacity, and a 9% IPA solution. Do not select it as a direct replacement for a 70% IPA product merely because both are presaturated.

Exact-SKU control: Keep the complete part number on purchasing records and cleaning procedures. Similar TekniMop™ names can identify different pad constructions, solution concentrations, packaging quantities, or hardware combinations.

Material documentation: integrated absorbent pad versus generic foam wording

Teknipure’s product-page introduction describes an integrated foam pad, while the TM-MFPK9G-516P row in its technical data sheet lists Knit Microfiber/Polycell. This Vault uses the shared functional description, integrated absorbent pad, and retains the TDS material designation for specification review. [1, 2]

Qualification point: Where exact pad composition is a controlled requirement, obtain manufacturer confirmation. Do not assume that the generic foam wording establishes the same material construction as another TekniMop™ SKU.

How the cleaning assembly works
  • Microfiber working face: provides the surface-contact material for particle and residue pickup.
  • Integrated absorbent pad: holds solution within the cover assembly and removes the need for a separately installed pad.
  • Pocket attachment: retains the cover on the designated frame.
  • Presaturation: removes the initial manual solution-loading step when the specified blend matches the procedure.

Construction and functional positioning are described by Teknipure. [1, 2]

Operational implication: Treat the working face and internal pad as one consumable assembly. Inspect the exterior and attachment before use; remove a cover from service if damage exposes the pad or prevents secure installation.

9% IPA: define the cleaning role before choosing the cover

This is a technical-cleaning configuration. Teknipure identifies precleaning before disinfectant application among its intended uses, and the applicable SDS identifies technical cleaning as the recommended use. [1, 3]

  • Cleaning: use the selected cover and solution to remove the contamination targeted by the approved method.
  • Precleaning: complete the prescribed soil-removal step before a separate disinfection step when required.
  • Disinfection: use the designated disinfectant and its product-specific directions; do not infer microbial kill from the presence of IPA alone.
  • Substitution control: changing alcohol concentration changes the chemistry specification, even when the frame and cover format appear similar.

Important distinction: CDC guidance describes a substantial decline in alcohol germicidal activity below 50% concentration. A 9% IPA cleaning cover should not inherit the antimicrobial claims, contact times, or process role of a 70% IPA product. Mechanical removal of contamination is also different from killing microorganisms. [6]

ISO positioning and non-sterile status are separate considerations

Teknipure lists this cover for ISO Class 5–8 environments and identifies it as non-sterile. These describe different product attributes; the cleanroom-environment listing does not create a sterile-product designation. [1]

Qualification point: Assess the complete cover, hardware, solution, surface, transfer method, and cleaning procedure. Do not substitute this SKU where the approved process requires a sterile consumable, and do not treat the ISO range as certification of the assembled cleaning method.

Hardware compatibility: two designated frame platforms
  • TKM415: 4" x 15" carbon fiber flat mop frame, used with a compatible TekniMop™ carbon fiber handle.
  • TM-PFM516F: 5" x 16" collapsible polyethylene frame.
  • TM-PFM516HF: 5" x 16" polyethylene frame and extendable aluminum handle system.

The SKU-specific TDS identifies all three configurations, and Teknipure’s TKM415 and TM-PFM516HF pages also list this cover among their compatible products. [2, 4]

Dimension-control point: The 5" x 16" cover / 4" x 15" TKM415 pairing is manufacturer-listed. Select by the documented part-number combination, not nominal dimensions alone. Cover compatibility across platforms does not establish interchangeability of their handles or frame connections.

Pocket installation: verify retention before starting the pass
  • Prepare the hardware: confirm the selected frame has the required cleaning status.
  • Fit the cover: follow the installation method for that frame rather than improvising an attachment.
  • Check the working face: confirm the material is positioned evenly without folds that interfere with contact.
  • Check retention: make sure the cover remains seated during the intended motion.
  • Stop after displacement: a slipping cover should be corrected or replaced before cleaning continues.

SOS operational guidance: Fit checks should be part of setup, not something discovered midway through a cleaning zone. An otherwise correct consumable cannot provide a repeatable cleaning interface if it moves unpredictably on the frame.

Packaging: 5 covers per bag, 50 covers per case
  • Primary package: 5 covers in a resealable gusset bag
  • Case configuration: 10 bags
  • Total: 50 covers

Teknipure’s product page and technical table agree on this configuration. The manufacturer describes the self-standing, resealable package as supporting solution retention between removals. [1, 2]

Package-handling control: Remove only the required cover, close the package promptly, and keep used covers out of the bag. Establish an opened-package handling limit through the approved procedure; resealing does not restart the product’s shelf life.

Manufacturer-listed applications
  • Cleanroom floors, walls, and ceilings
  • Precleaning before disinfectant application
  • Residue removal
  • General cleaning of large areas

Application listing: Teknipure TM-MFPK9G-516P product information. [1]

Application boundary: A broad application listing is not evidence that the solution removes every residue or suits every substrate. Qualify the actual contamination and surface, including coatings, seals, joints, and moisture-sensitive components.

Operational guidance: define what successful cleaning looks like

The following recommendations are SOS operational considerations, not manufacturer-validated coverage limits or a replacement for the facility SOP. Before standardizing the cover, define the target residue, acceptable surface condition, cleaning sequence, and method for checking the result.

  • Removal objective: identify what must leave the surface rather than judging performance only by visible wetting.
  • Surface acceptance: define the inspection or verification appropriate to the process.
  • Coverage assignment: establish a practical area or zone per cover through process qualification.
  • Next-step readiness: specify the required condition before subsequent treatment or return to service.

Large-surface technique: footprint does not guarantee coverage
  • Define the path: divide the surface into identifiable sections.
  • Use planned overlap: avoid untreated strips between neighboring passes.
  • Check actual contact: base the method on the assembled frame and cover, not the nominal textile dimensions alone.
  • Control progression: follow the approved clean-to-less-clean sequence and zoning rules.
  • Limit backtracking: avoid returning a loaded cover to a cleaner area.

Coverage principle: Do not assign a universal square-foot rating from cover size. Establish coverage using the actual surface, soil load, contact pattern, and required solution delivery.

Solution delivery: control the endpoint, not just the starting condition

Ready-to-use preparation does not determine how far a cover should travel through a cleaning task. The procedure still needs an endpoint based on contamination loading, wetness, area, or zone transition.

  • Do not compensate with pressure: pressing harder is not a substitute for replacing a depleted or loaded cover.
  • Do not improvise replenishment: adding water or alcohol changes the supplied configuration and requires a separately approved method.
  • Do not equate dampness with cleanliness: a cover can remain wet after reaching its contamination limit.
  • Keep chemistry steps separate: do not turn the used cover into an applicator for another solution.

Process distinction: For this cleaning step, define the required wetting and removal conditions. Where disinfection follows, apply the separate disinfectant’s specified concentration, coverage, and contact requirements.

Floors, walls, and ceilings: evaluate the assembled system
  • Floors: plan operator movement so cleaned sections are not unnecessarily crossed.
  • Walls: check that the selected frame angle maintains contact without uncontrolled runoff.
  • Ceilings: evaluate the wetted cover, frame, and handle together at the required extension.
  • Obstructed surfaces: use a smaller approved system when boundaries or equipment prevent controlled passes.

Selection principle: Choose reach and frame size around the actual task. A configuration that works comfortably on a floor should not automatically become the approved overhead configuration.

Change-out triggers
  • The assigned cleaning area or zone is complete.
  • The working face is visibly soiled or leaves unacceptable residue.
  • The cover no longer delivers the required surface condition.
  • The cover contacts an uncontrolled surface or crosses a prohibited zone boundary.
  • The pockets, exterior material, or integrated assembly are damaged.
  • The procedure moves to another chemistry or requires a fresh consumable.

Contamination-control rule: Replace according to the first applicable process limit. Do not wait until the cover is both visibly dirty and dry.

Best-practice use (9% IPA integrated-pad pocket cover)
  1. Verify the configuration: match the full part number and solution requirement to the cleaning procedure.
  2. Check receiving controls: verify package integrity, identification, and labeled expiration before introduction.
  3. Prepare the hardware: use a designated frame with the required cleanliness status.
  4. Apply safety controls: follow the current SDS and facility requirements for ventilation, protection, and ignition control.
  5. Remove and install one cover: protect the working face during handling and close the remaining package.
  6. Confirm fit: check pocket retention and even positioning before contacting the surface.
  7. Execute the approved pattern: maintain the defined sequence, overlap, and contact.
  8. Check the endpoint: replace at the established wetness, contamination, area, or zoning limit.
  9. Complete subsequent steps: follow any separate disinfection or surface-release requirements.
  10. Remove and dispose appropriately: handle the used cover according to the chemistry, collected contamination, and facility waste procedure.

Selection notes: dry flexibility versus specified presaturation
  • TM-MFPK9G-516P: the integrated-pad configuration evaluated here; select when its supplied solution matches the approved cleaning step. [1]
  • TM-MFPK-516P: dry 5" x 16" microfiber pocket cover with integrated pad; consider when the facility needs to select and apply a compatible chemistry. [5]
  • TM-PFM70G-415: a separately specified 4" x 15" integrated-pad 70% IPA configuration; changing to it changes more than the product name. [2, 4]

Selection sequence: Determine the required chemistry and sterility status first, then confirm pad construction, hardware fit, case pack, and shelf life. Shared frame compatibility does not make consumables interchangeable within a controlled procedure.

Storage and shelf life: 13 months, not three years
  • Published shelf life: 13 months from manufacture for the 6% and 9% IPA presaturated mop-cover category.
  • TDS storage guidance: clean, dry storage at 15°C–30°C.
  • Inventory control: use product labeling and lot records for the actual expiration date and remaining shelf life.

Shelf-life and temperature reference: Large Surface Mopping Tools TDS, page 1. [2]

Important: Do not carry over the three-year shelf life published for 70% IPA covers. The manufacture-based period is also not a new use period beginning when a bag is opened; establish opened-package controls separately.

Safety: lower IPA concentration does not mean hazard-free

Teknipure’s 6–10% Isopropyl Alcohol Cleaning Wipes and Mop Covers SDS, revised September 21, 2026, explicitly includes this SKU. It identifies flammable liquid, Category 3 and serious eye irritation, Category 2A. [3]

  • Control heat, sparks, flames, and other ignition sources.
  • Provide appropriate ventilation and eye protection.
  • Keep the original packaging closed and protect it from direct sunlight.
  • Follow the SDS and facility requirements for incompatibilities, handling, and disposal.

Safety-document rule: Use the SDS applicable to the supplied product. Do not infer a nonflammable classification or shipping classification solely from the 9% concentration.

Misuse controls and qualification limits
  • No automatic disinfectant substitution: do not replace a required disinfectant step with this cleaning configuration.
  • No assumed sterility: an alcohol-wetted consumable is not automatically a sterile consumable.
  • No universal residue-removal claim: establish performance against the actual contamination and substrate.
  • No assumed reprocessing: do not infer cover autoclave compatibility from the reusable frame’s rating.
  • No unlimited use: a larger working face or internal pad does not remove the need for change-out limits.
  • No absolute particle claim: low-linting construction is not a guarantee of zero particle release.
